Christian Bauer - MSc student

Christian Bauer obtained his bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. After his studies, he moved to Germany to work on decision-making and performance monitoring at the Otto von Guericke University, Magdeburg. Working as a research assistant he gained experience in primate handling, fMRI, and EEG. Christian obtained his master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University and conducted his internship and master’s thesis under guidance of Hanneke den Ouden and Soha Farboud. Specifically, Christian investigated how our motivational biases shape our decision-making by applying fMRI and TUS methods. 

Christian is currently a PhD candidate in the Emotional Learning and Memory group at UKE Hamburg, where he is investigating fear learning and biases in decision-making.
